Helloooo my fellow earthlings, welcome to the fruit party. Today I want to talk a little bit about snacking. As you probably already know I really love to eat. And snacks are like the perfect excuse to eat all day long. Every day around three o’clock my tummy starts to grumble. It says ‘give me food now’. And I usually get cravings for sweet food. Unhealthy food. I start dreaming about chocolate and ice cream. And before I know it I ate a whole pack of cookies and half a liter of vanilla ice cream (vegan of course :-p). Do you recognize this? (Please say yes, I can’t be the only person who does this :-p)
So there I am, snacking the day away. I’ve decided that something had to change, because with all that snacking I gained a few extra pounds. And we don’t want that of course ;-). So in stead of forcing myself to stop eating I’m changing what I’m putting in my mouth.
Watermelon and strawberries are the ideal, sweet afternoon snack. These fruits are so low in calories and really satisfy those afternoon cravings. And if you didn’t try the combo watermelon-lemon juice yet.. Just do it! It’s amazing. So refreshing. When you put the fruits in a cute bowl they taste even better. So in stead of my junk food splurges I know have a fruit party every day at three o’clock! :p
What’s your favorite healthy snack?
Pink Fruit Party
- 1 Watermelon
- Box of Strawberries
- 2-3 Lemons
Cut watermelon in half. Cut little cubes in the flesh with a sharp knife. Scoop out the cubes with a spoon. Squeeze lemon juice over the watermelon. Put strawberries in a little bowl. Add lemon juice.
Most important: eat all of the yummy fresh fruit & ENJOY!
