And what’s better than drinking a refreshing smoothie in the summer (or in the winter :-P) ??
Smoothies are one of the best ways for me to get a lot of nutrition in my body. Especially in the winter it’s not always easy to eat all your fruit and veggies. The perfect solution is to mix your fruit and veggies in a smoothie. When the food is mixed you can easily eat a lot more of it. I could easily put 3 bananas in a smoothie, but eating 3 bananas would be a lot more difficult!
I’m a person who loves loves loves summer. In Belgium we are unfortunately not blessed with warm weather every day. In the winter the days are very short. It’s almost always dark and cloudy. Drinking a smoothie like this reminds me of those long, hot, summer days again. Pineapple, coconut and bananas… I almost feel like I’m lying on a tropical island every time I take a sip :-P. So get rid of those winter blues and try out my smoothie recipe!
Pina Colada Smoothie
Ingredients
- 250 ml Vanilla soy milk
- 150 gr Pineapple
- 1/2 Banana
- 1 TBSP Coconut Flakes
- 1 scoop vegan protein powder (get it here)
- Handfull of ice cubes
How To
Mix all the ingredients (listed above) together. Serve in a tall glass. Add a piece of pineapple and a straw on the side. If you prefer your smoothie ice cold you can always add more ice cubes to make it extra fresh. ENJOY!
